A cien años del Natalicio del Hacedor de canciones: Chava Flores

“Oye Bartola, ahí te dejo estos dos pesos, pagas la renta, el teléfono y la luz…” canta el cronista popular que nos cuenta en sus canciones toda una etapa del México de antaño.

Salvador Flores Rivera, Chava Flores, a quien le gustaba le llamaran El Hacedor de canciones  entre sus múltiples ocupaciones fue un compositor, poeta de barrio nacido en La Merced el 14 de enero de 1920, vendedor, pero lo mejor, un gran contador de historias que supo captar como pocos nuestra cultura popular a través de sus canciones, aportando su ingenio y creatividad  que han perdurado hasta nuestros días.

Para celebrar 100 años de su nacimiento, la Secretaría de Cultura de la Ciudad de México  invita este sábado 25 de enero a las 12 horas al Concierto en donde Alejandro Vicencio Mejía interpretará canciones del conocido compositor.

Será en el Salón de Cabildos del Antiguo Palacio del Ayuntamiento donde se podrá disfrutar d la música y el lugar. La entrada es libre y el cupo limitado.

Exposición fotográfica “A cien años de Chava Flores”

En el mismo lugar se exhibe  la Galería de Cronistas Urbanos, “José Joaquín Fernández de Lizardi”, en la cual se podrán apreciar objetos personales, partituras y fotografías del cronista musical tomadas del libro Retratos de mi barrio, que puede ser visitada de lunes a viernes de 10:00 a 17:00 horas, sábados y domingos de 10:00 a 19:00 horas. La entrada es libre.

    4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
