En colaboración con la Alcaldía de Xochimilco, la Alcaldía de Iztapalapa realizará del 21 al 23 de junio, la Feria del amaranto y dulce cristalizado. Con el amaranto como protagonista principal de esta Feria y las frutas cristalizadas, la “alegría” será el tema a conocer y promover entre los visitantes. Una semilla (otros lo consideran grano) con muy alto valor nutricional por su contenido en proteínas y aminoácidos.
Usos del amaranto
Este cereal, utilizado en una amplia variedad de platillos se ha integrado como parte de deliciosos alimentos y postres que tendrás oportunidad de adquirir en la Feria: alegrías con miel o de chocolate, pepitorias, palanquetas y obleas elaboradas con esta semilla entre otros productos. También es utilizada en tamales, pizzas, panqués atoles, y en otros platillos en los cuales forma parte del exquisito sabor de la gastronomía mexicana.
El amaranto también es recomendado en las dietas como complemento, incluso, para bajar de peso, porque da sensación de saciedad.
En la Feria podrás disfrutar y adquirir por igual, productos artesanales así como productos de amaranto con mejor calidad que las que usualmente se venden a precios bajos pero que solamente contienen fructuosa.
Y frutas cristalizadas de temporada
También será posible encontrar toda clase de frutas cristalizadas: naranjas, piñas, tunas y toda la fruta de temporada, que podrás adquirir y deleitarte, combinadas con música de elencos artísticos que durante estos tres días se presentarán para amenizar el evento.
Conferencias, Talleres y Elencos artísticos
El amaranto será el tema central en las conferencias, por su importancia en nuestra nutrición, sus propiedades y la historia secular de esta semilla, así como una clase de cocina rústica con energía renovable.
Para los niños se presentará el domingo “Choco amaranto “y El cuento del amaranto” a partir de la una y hasta las tres de la tarde. Amenizarán con la música: Grupo Cenzontli, Mexican Salsa Brava, Sax Son, La Orquesta Sinfónica de Iztapalapa, el Ballet folklórico Vicente Guerrero y Azora Fusión, como parte de los elencos.
Feria del amaranto y dulce cristalizado, en Macroplaza Cuitláhuac, del 21 al 23 de junio, ayuntamiento esq. calle Aldama. Iztapalapa. Desde las 10 de la mañana a 8 de la noche.
Inauguración viernes 21 de Junio a las 11:00 horas.
