Buenas noches, ¿me da una orden de churros?

Termina tu semana de trabajo pero en lugar de salir a disfrutar del fin de la jornada laboral con tus amigos, prefieres pasar un tiempo con tu familia o con tu pareja.

El encontrar lugares familiares abiertos puede ser un poco complicado, por esa razón, te comentamos de uno que seguramente ya conoces pero no sabías de su servicio las 24 horas.

Nos referimos a  la churrería El Moro, donde se puede disfrutar del sabor y el  deleite de sus churros y malteadas.

El comienzo

Este lugar ve sus inicios en 1935 cuando Francisco Iriarte, español de nacionalidad y oriundo de un pueblo llamado Elizondo, llega a México y se percata que no se consumen churros, los cuales bautiza “El Moro” haciendo alusión a un árabe que vendía churros en un carrito ambulante de pueblo en pueblo, allá en España. Cuenta la historia que decide ponerle este nombre a su empresa porque prácticamente inició de la misma manera, solo que en el Centro Histórico de nuestra ciudad.

Poco a poco Iriarte se fue haciendo conocido entre los transeúntes citadinos quienes quedaban extasiados con sus churros  y es así que en 1935 logra rentar el local número 42 en San Juan de Letrán en el cual aún se encuentra esta churrería.

Aunque hoy en día el establecimiento no mantiene la decoración inicial, por diversas remodelaciones y accidentes ocurridos en el lugar, es una churrería con historia, conocida por sus visitantes famosos y  sus clásicos churros, en diversas presentaciones.

De tradiciones y sabores

Además de vender churros, también ofrecen “consuelos”,  que consiste en sándwich de churro con una bola de helado de distintos sabores en el centro y para acompañar hay malteadas, café, chocolate, agua, té o leche.

Entre los sabores de helados, la churrería maneja un sabor especial por día, el cual puedes disfrutar en los “consuelos” o bien en las malteadas y si el cliente así lo desea, combinar churros con crema batida, malvaviscos o dips de distintos sabores.

¡Tortas al pastor y con mole!

También cuentan con un área donde se preparan tortas de pastor y de pierna con mole. Esta cadena de churros tiene varias sucursales, pero solo es la que se ubica en el local número 42 de San Juan de Letrán -ahora eje central Lázaro Cárdenas- en el Centro Histórico, la que abre las 24 horas. Si estás en busca de un lugar donde pasar un momento agradable con tu pareja, familia o amigos, no lo pienses más y ven a disfrutar de las delicias que esta churrería ofrece.
