10 cosas que debes hacer para evitar problemas de salud por la contaminación en la CDMX

La Secretaría de Salud ha informado que los efectos en la salud asociados a la contaminación del aire se clasifican en dos: efectos agudos (mortalidad y morbilidad como incremento de síntomas e infecciones respiratorias y disminución de la función pulmonar) y efectos crónicos (tales como asma, alergias, enfermedades cardiovasculares e incluso cáncer pulmonar).

Por ello, entre las personas que tienen mayor riesgo de sufrir efectos negativos en la salud exponiéndose a la contaminación atmosférica están las embarazadas, los niños, las personas con sobrepeso, los adultos mayores y aquellas personas que viven, viajan o estudian cerca de avenidas o vías con mucho tráfico.

Por esta razón las autoridades toman medidas pertinentes para evitar, en la medida de lo posible, daños a la salud de los habitantes de la ciudad. No las pases por alto, pues tu salud está de por medio. Procura hacer estas 10 cosas para evitar este mal en el medio ambiente.

  1. Suspender actividades deportivas, cívicas y de recreo al aire libre.
  2. Restringe tu circulación vehicular (lo necesario).
  3. Estar atento ante dificultades respiratorias y visitar al médico.
  4. Intensifica medidas de higiene y lavado de manos.
  5. Haz una limpieza profunda y constante de superficies en la vivienda y lava todos los alimentos.
  6. Usa tapabocas en espacios abiertos.
  7. Evita exponerte a otro tipo de contaminantes como humo de cigarro o fogatas.
  8. No quemes basura.
  9. Consume abundantes líquidos.
  10. Practica deporte en espacios cerrados.
