¿Cómo bebes tu café? ¿Solo o acompañado? ¿Dulce o amargo? ¿Enamorado o desilusionado? ¿Viendo el hermoso Palacio de Bellas Artes o la TV?

En Walking Around nos lanzamos a una nueva experiencia y queremos recomendarla: Don Porfirio Café. El lugar donde deleitarás el paladar y la vista.

Lo hallarás en el piso 8 de la Torre Sears (frente al Palacio de Bellas Artes). Se tiene  que esperar por una mesa o a que se desocupe la barra, pero no desesperes, lo lograrás. Los costos van de los 48 a los 100 pesos y puedes acceder a partir de las 11:00 am hasta las 20:00 horas.

Bebidas calientes y frías, de mazapán, chocolate, café, y pie de limón con chocolate o zanahoria, además de molletes con salami o baguettes es lo que encontrarás en el menú. Procura probar las especialidades de la casa que no hallarás en otras partes.

Para disfrutar la vida puedes ordenar el mazapán latte, una bebida hecha a base de licor de cacahuate y manzana. También el agua de horchata caliente o un café lungo que aunque tiene sabor amargo y concentrado, deja una sensación agradable en la boca.

Podrás acompañarlo con ensaladas de leguminosas, como: lentejas, frijoles y alubias. También ofrecen bebidas prehispánicas, como el xocoátl, a base de chile, pimienta, canela, cacao y azúcar. O el tejate, originario de Oaxaca. Los precios son muy accesibles. El trato es respetuoso y eficiente, los servicios de recepción y entrega de pedidos también.

A pesar de la espera, que puede ser corta o muy larga,  podrás apreciar el Palacio de Bellas Artes, uno de los edificios más bellos y enigmáticos de la ciudad de México. En su escenario se han presentado artistas de talla internacional y de la cultura popular.
