Bacalar, una maravilla acuática

Con el verano a la vuelta de la esquina y las vacaciones aproximándose, seguramente ya estás pensando en qué lugar visitar en estos días de vacaciones veraniegas. En esta ocasión te platicamos de un lugar escondido entre la belleza de las playas de Quintana Roo: la Laguna de Bacalar, un lugar que ofrece una opción maravillosa para los amantes de la naturaleza y el camping.

Apodada como la laguna de los 7 colores, por los diferentes tonos de azules que se perciben a lo largo de su extensión, dependiendo de la profundidad en la que se vea es el tono de azul que destaca. Bacalar cuenta con una superficie de 52 mil hectáreas, en las que encontramos cenotes y manglares, hogares y reservas naturales para diferentes especies de aves y peces; su agua es dulce.

Pero esto no es todo, el pueblo mágico de la laguna de Bacalar, es uno de los tres lugares a nivel mundial que cuenta con “estromatolitos”, o piedras con vida, que se forman a partir de unos microorganismos que toman el carbono de su alrededor y las forma, estas también funcionan para limpiar el aire y el agua de CO2, logrando higienizar el ambiente casi con la misma eficacia que un árbol.

Bacalar también ofrece en su mayoría actividades al aire libre acuáticas, por lo que tiene viajes en lancha, kayak o puedes visitar los rápidos, de igual forma ofrece tirolesas con casi 30 metros de altura desde donde puedes apreciar en su totalidad la belleza natural de este lugar.

O bien puedes disfrutar de un paseo por la historia en el Fuerte de San Felipe de Bacalar, que ahora es un museo y exhibe la historia que tuvo este pueblo frente a la llegada de los conquistadores españoles o las duras batallas sostenidas contra los navíos piratas.

Ubicado a 40 minutos de Chetumal, capital de Quintana Roo y aproximadamente a tres horas y  media de Cancún, el pueblo mágico de la Laguna de Bacalar es una opción idónea para conectarse con la naturaleza y olvidarse de la tecnología y el estrés citadinos por unos días. No lo pienses más y visita Bacalar.
