Tlayacapan, la nariz de la tierra

A hora y media de la Ciudad de México, en Morelos, nos encontramos un pueblo mágico llamado Tlayacapan, donde podrás encontrar relajación total en sus temazcales, aire puro, encantadoras postales,   comprar artesanías de barro a muy buenos precios, disfrutar la exquisita gastronomía del lugar e inclusive dar un paseo en calandria. Dentro del exconvento de San Juan Bautista  se ubica un recinto de momias, aunque por el momento no se encuentra abierto al público.

Tlayacapan, según su toponimia náhuatl significa la nariz de la tierra, pues Tlal-Li = Tierra, Yaka-Tl = naríz, punta, lindero, frontera, Pan= locativo.

El municipio se caracteriza por su traza, similar a la gran Tenochtitlan, de acuerdo a los cuatro puntos cardinales.

Tlayacapan es reconocido por su arquitectura y sus artesanías, donde puedes encontrar todo tipo de piezas hechas en barro de manera única; cada artesano imprime un poco de su corazón en cada pieza.

El clima de esta región es sin duda otro atractivo, pues oscila entre los 20° y 30° grados, ideal si lo que buscas es darte un chapuzón en alguna las albercas que se encuentran en cabañas a las orillas del pueblo.

Y porque el clima también lo permite,  frente al palacio municipal se ponen las mejores nieves del mundo, elaboradas de manera artesanal, de limón, mamey, queso, fresa, coco, café y dependiendo la temporada puedes encontrar diversos sabores.

En el México prehispánico, Tlayacapan fungió como puente comercial entre las regiones del sur, actualmente solo se hace el comercio entre pueblos vecinos los días de tianguis.

La festividad más importante que tienen es el llamado brinco del chinelo, misma que da inicio un domingo anterior al miércoles de ceniza y la siguiente festividad es en honor al Santo Patrón San Juan porque el nombre completo del pueblo es una composición prehispánica y española: San Juan Tlayacapan, el 24 de junio.

Aunque no sean fechas festivas puedes visitar el pueblo y dejarte consentir por sus cálidos habitantes y su extraordinaria gastronomía.
